چکیده
This article presents a 23–40-GHz phased-array receiver (RX) capable of reconfiguring to achieve fine phase step and high gain range. Such RX consists 14-bit phase-gain manager wideband noise-canceling low-noise amplifier (NCLNA). The proposed includes two 7-bit variable amplifiers (VGAs) in radio-frequency (RF) domain, pairs mixers, sign-map (VGSM) circuits intermediate-frequency (IF) domain. can not only provide maximum phase-tuning operation >35-dB variation range but also an improved calibration-free image rejection ratio (IRR) by introducing the dual-mode operation. Based on aforementioned structure, four-element is implemented fabricated 40-nm CMOS technology. whole circuit size 2.2 $\times $ 1.3 mm, while consuming 52 mW per element. measured result shows state-of-the-art minimal noise figure (NF) 3.8 dB, which supports 3 Gb/s, 64-QAM 2.4 256-QAM modulation signal.

Phased array antenna using MEMS phase shifter
This article presents a phased array antenna employing MEMS phase shifter. The proposed phased array antenna consists of eight square patch antennas operating at 10.4 GHz with a bandwidth of 400 MHz. Feed line for each patch passes through a MEMS phase shifter realized by a series of bridges above the transmission line. The distance between the bridge and the transmission line underneath it is ...

This paper presents a 24-GHz two-channel phasedarray receiver. The receiver adopts the LO-phase-shifting approach and employs a sub-harmonically injection-locked phaseshifter. A CMOS-only prototype, fabricated in a 130-nm SiGe BiCMOS technology, draws 16-mA of current from a 1.5-V supply and consists of a injection-locked oscillator (operating as a phase-shifter, LO-buffer and frequency multipl...

In this paper, an ultra-wideband (UWB) common gate low-noise amplifier (LNA) with gm-boosted and noise-cancelling techniques is presented. In this scheme we utilize gm-boosted stage for cancelling the noise of matching device. The bandwidth extension and flat gain are achieved by using of series and shunt peaking techniques. Simulated in .13 um Cmos technology, the proposed LNA achieved 2.38-3....
متن کاملA Transformer Noise-Canceling Ultra-Wideband CMOS Low-Noise Amplifier
Previously reported wideband CMOS low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) have difficulty in achieving both wideband input impedance matching and low noise performance at low power consumption and low supply voltage. We present a transformer noise-canceling wideband CMOS LNA based on a common-gate topology. The transformer, composed of the input and shunt-peaking inductors, partly cancels the noise origina...
متن کاملDefinition of Array Receiver Gain and Noise Temperature
With the emergence of aperture and focal plane array systems for application in radio astronomy, there is a need for clear definitions of their gain and noise temperature, preferably in terms of a single antenna/receiver system, to enable proper understanding and comparison of system performance. Although in the literature the noise temperature of a phased array receiver was defined in these te...
